Cross Country Skiing: Sprint W/M (F)
Sprints are single-elimination events, with skiers starting at 15-second intervals. The top 30 athletes qualify to race head-to-head in heats of six, with the fastest two from each heat advancing to the next round.

Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games
The FISU World University Games is the largest international winter multi-sport event for collegiate-athletes. The Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games, happening January 12-22, 2023, will bring 2,500 collegiate-athletes and delegation officials from more than 50 nations and 600+ universities to Lake Placid and the surrounding North Country region. This 11-day international educational event and competition is expected to be twice the size of Lake Placid’s 1980 Olympic Winter Games as athletes will be competing in 12 sports and 86 medal events.
