Nordic Combined: Individual Gundersen W/M
This traditional event has athletes take one competitive jump. A start list for the cross-country skiing race is calculated based on the jumping results, with the top finisher starting first and all other athletes chasing. The winner is the first athlete across the finish line.

The FISU World University Games is the largest international winter multi-sport event for collegiate-athletes. The Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games, happening January 12-22, 2023, will bring 2,500 collegiate-athletes and delegation officials from more than 50 nations and 600+ universities to Lake Placid and the surrounding North Country region. This 11-day international educational event and competition is expected to be twice the size of Lake Placid’s 1980 Olympic Winter Games as athletes will be competing in 12 sports and 86 medal events.
