Park Play with Pros Week 1
The daily schedule will include a morning introduction time, activity sessions, and a snack break. Monday morning after an icebreaker activity, the youth will be given the opportunity to choose which professional athlete they would like to be their coach for the week. Once in their groups, the youth will choose from a variety of sports and activities including free play. Selected activities will be informed by the suggestions of the youth, but could include any of the following; corn hole, tag, playground, volleyball, kickball, basketball, soccer, football, wiffle ball, four square, hide and seek, ultimate frisbee, sharks and minnows, or hockey.
Jamestown Jackals professional basketball players and staff will serve as coaches and mentors, providing fun activities with an underlying message that encourages positive lifestyle choices.
