Questioning identity and belonging, pushing the boundaries of set cultural models, and redressing relationships between the self and nature, are some of the themes that dominate the artistic practice of our panelists. Their work as women artists from the Arab world actively shapes the local and regional art scene and strengthens the power of words through poetry, performance, visual arts, film making and design.

Storytelling and historical, political, personal or fictive narratives are at the heart of the artistic practice of our guests. The panel will explore the key themes along with multiple layers of their creative expression, and the framework within which women’s voices are being heard and celebrated.
