Ceri James & The Red Flames + Weird Sleeping Kittens LIVE at The Sound Lounge

We are thrilled that Ceri James is coming to The Sound Lounge for a night of rousing anthemic indie folk rock with his band, The Red Flames. Joining him on the bill are the up-and-coming Weird Sleeping Kittens.

Ceri James grew up in South Wales but was born in London UK and is well known on the London circuit and beyond. He emerged during the noughties from the New Cross music scene which was much publicised at the time by the NME. To date he has recorded 9 studio albums 3 EPs and 12 singles and has worked with Gordon Raphael (Strokes producer). He has shared stages with the likes of Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze), Songdog, Art Brut, Rattlesnake Annie, Tom Hingley (Inspirals) in the past but spends much of his time performing on the London folk circuit these days.

He has toured in the UK, Europe and the USA and played venues such as Ronnie Scott's (London), The Rainbow (LA) and on top of Antony Gormley's plinth in Trafalgar Square.

Ceri has received radio play on BBC Radio Wales, Resonance FM, Roots & Fusion Pure FM and many more.

Weird Sleeping Kittens are a five piece, female vocal led band based in south east London, blending dark fairy tale lyrics with their unique fusion of psychedelic folk and trip hop.
