Concours d'Lemons Car Show at Pitt Race Historics
The Concours d’ Lemons, a tongue-in-cheek show celebrating the Un-Best of the automotive world, clatters onto the driveway leading up to Spector Hill on Saturday, July 27, 2024. The inaugural appearance of the whimsical and irreverent event opens at 9:00am
We're reaching out with a twist in the road for our inaugural Concours d'Lemons at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. It seems our assembly of automotive oddballs is a bit exclusive this year—we've got just nine daring drivers registered. So we will not have any judging or awards presented in 2024. While we won't have a full-blown competition this time, we're not letting this curb our spirits!
Here's the juicy part: we're still cordoning off a special parking area just for you, our pioneering nine. It’s not every day one gets to be a charter member of the "Almost-Was Concours d'Lemons." You'll have the chance to proudly display your unique ride and claim the fame of being at the first (unofficial) gathering of gloriously underwhelming automobiles.
Think of this as your moment to shine—or at least, flicker amusingly—in the spotlight. We’re excited to see your marvels of motoring misfortune and celebrate the charm of the underdog. Let's make lemonade out of these lemons!
We're not sour, though. Far from it! We’re already gearing up to make the Concours d'Lemons a fully judged event in 2025. So, keep tinkering, keep tempering, and most importantly, keep your spirits high. This year is just the prologue to what will surely be a storied chapter in automotive annals. I'll be stopping by to interview you for a facebook stream to get some tart commentary about your pioneering efforts. If you are trailering your monstrosity, trailer parking will be in the grass leading down to the South Paddock. Your $35 fee includes gate entry for one person and entry for your car inside the facility to participate in the judging.
Entry Fee - $35 Includes:
- Entry into the Concours d'Lemons and free parking inside the facility for Saturday, July 27.
- Single-day gate admission for driver and car for Saturday only.
- Passengers are $25 per person per day. Children 12 and under are free.
Receipt
A receipt with a barcode will be emailed to you when you complete your payment. You MUST present the printed email to enter the gates. You can also present the email itself on your mobile device.
