Grammy and Emmy-nominated trumpeter/arranger Greg Adams was a founding member of the legendary R&B/funk band Tower of Power.

Adams' arrangements made the legendary TOP horn section famous as an entity of its own. He was part of TOP from 1970 to 1995, through 14 recordings. He has recorded 10 solo albums, and since 2009 has led the band East Bay Soul as founder.

In a five-decade career, he can be heard on more than 2,000 recordings.

Adams has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Sir Elton John, Phish, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Santana, Lyle Lovett, Linda Ronstadt, Quincy Jones, Ray Charles and many others. His sixth and latest album with East Bay Soul, “The Real” (2023), is a blend of funk, jazz, soul and R&B.
