Gerald Veasley Unscripted: Jammin' for Nico
Bassist Gerald Veasley has been a fixture at Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest almost from the beginning, performing with many bands and hosting events. But he may be best known for his late-night jam sessions that allow festivalgoers to keep the party going and experience the true heart of jazz: the spontaneous coming-together of musicians to have thrilling musical conversations with no prior rehearsal.
Beginning in 2011, the Veasley’s Midnight Jams became a popular event with both audiences and musicians. Aside from a host of scheduled players, you never know who else might show up to join the fun, including some headliners.
