SINOPSIS

Hatzin, un joven adolescente de la Ciudad de México, viaja a recoger los restos de su padre, que han sido encontrados en una fosa común en el norte de México. Pero un encuentro casual con un hombre, Mario (Hernán Mendoza), que comparte un parecido físico con su progenitor, le hace cuestionar la certeza de la muerte de su padre y, sobre todo, abre la posibilidad de restablecer la relación padre e hijo que el joven desea profundamente. “La Caja” es la nueva película de Lorenzo Vigas, ganador del León de Oro (premio principal) en el Festival de Cine de Venecia en 2015 por su ópera prima “Desde Allá.”

SYNOPSIS

Hatzin, a young teenager from Mexico City, travels to collect the remains of his father, which have been found in a communal grave in the northern part of Mexico. But a casual encounter with a man, Mario (Hernán Mendoza), who shares a physical resemblance with his father, makes him question the certainty of his father’s death and above all, opens the possibility of reestablishing the father-son relationship the young man so deeply desires. “The Box” is the new film by Lorenzo Vigas, winner of the Golden Lion (top prize) at the Venice Film Festival in 2015 for his debut feature “From Afar. “
