Peter BruntnellI in an uncertain number of years time, it will be acceptably cool to say that you first got into non-Grammy-winning artist Peter Bruntnell through his classic 2024 album Houdini And The Sucker Punch, before then going back and discovering his back catalogue of yet more “classics”. And you were there! You saw him live.

Every possible positive adjective has been called into play, although it must be noted that the word “sublime” can never be used enough. Not even 2021’s primarily solo, slightly synthy lockdown album succeeded in putting an end to his non-success, despite Mojo echoing the plea that, “Somehow, some way, this cult and infinitely class songwriter must get his due wider recognition”. The Scottish Daily Express with its 5 star review, slightly frustrated, said, or perhaps yelled, “I’m getting tired of saying this: He’s brilliant”. The Irish Times thoughtfully combined two quotes into one, saving us the trouble of going back and getting crushed under the sheer weight of Peter’s archive of press quotes: “With Journey To The Sun, the man whose songs NME once noted should be placed on school curriculums has done it again.” And he continues to do so. But not without a brief foray into dance music, in collaboration with mega pop-hit songwriter Rob Davies

Danny George Wilson’s formidable credentials go back to his days in seminal UK roots rock band Grand Drive with brother Julian, a solo album released on Paris-based tastemaker label Fargo Records and six albums of consistently high calibre output on Loose Music with the revolving cast of his Danny & The Champions of the World incarnation.

In 2016 the Champs swept the boards at the inaugural UK Americana Awards, winning with Album, Artist and Song of the Year. Alongside Robin Bennett (The Dreaming Spires, Goldrush, Saint Etienne) and Tony Poole (Starry Eyed and Laughing) he released an eponymous album as Bennett Wilson Poole in 2018 (“instant classics… hints of Willie and Levon” Bud Scoppa, Uncut) – bagging another UK Americana Awards ‘Artist of the Year’ alongside being voted Americana UK’s ‘Band of the Year’.

Hannah White; The artist Holler Magazine described as “Americana’s answer to Mike Skinner. More Patsy Palmer than Cline” began 2023 by earning a Americana Music Association UK Best Song Award, and ended it with the release of her much-anticipated album ‘Sweet Revolution’ which reached #17 in the Official UK Americana Charts and #14 in the Official Independent Album Charts, earning her a host of AMA UK 2024 & 2025 Award nominations.

Her typically British, self-deprecating humour does nothing to diminish the emotion which Acoustic Magazine described as “arresting and wholly believable”. Hannah White is an artist who has “a wittiness to her grittiness and a sparkling wink in her poetry”; One who personifies authenticity. Her shows are the true story of a person whose path has taken her from homeless single mother to internationally recognised award-winning artist and, needless to say, one who leaves nothing in the dressing room.

Uncut Magazine called her’s “an expressive voice and songcraft”, whilst Krentenuitdepop, Netherlands attested this is “roots music on par with the best currently being made in the US”. Fatea Magazine said “songwriting from the top drawer” whilst 3 Chords And The Truth agree ”we are in the midst of a seriously fine songwriter”.
