2024 Spectator Tickets, Parking and Ragtime Rides at Schenley Park
Schenley Park Race Weekend - August 3-4, 2024 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Schenley Park is the scene of one of the largest car shows in the country on the August 3-4 weekend. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix races vintage cars through the streets, and you can watch them from the Bob O'Connor Golf Course while you browse the International Car Show – a combined show of 17 distinct displays featuring nearly 3,000 cars.
The PVGP is a charity event, and we request a $10 donation per person for the weekend. Your wristband will give you full access to all car shows and the race side activities in the pit, and paddock at the Start/Finish Line. There is so much that happens on the Race Weekend in Schenley Park that we can’t fit it all on one page – so here (opens in a new tab)are some useful links:

Ragtime Racer Ride-Along
Ragtime Racers join the PVGP for the first time at Schenley Park on the August 3-4, Race Weekend. This unique group performs at major races each year and we are fortunate to have them here for the first time. They will be paddocked on Schenley Drive in front of Phipps Conservatory. Each morning and afternoon, they will be on track for an exhibition race. These cars can reach speeds of 60 MPH on straightaways. Each session will be approximately 20 minutes for 3-4 laps of the entire circuit in front of 50,000 race fans daily. Most of the cars require a riding mechanic or copilot to prime the oil pump or gas – it is a simple task but needed for these 100-year-old cars. You could be in that seat for a $1,000 donation!
- Saturday, August 3 at 10:30 AM
- Sunday, August 3 at 2:30 PM
- Saturday, August 4 at 9:30 AM
- Sunday, August 4 at 1:45 PM
There are limited opportunities available. Participants should be at least 18 years old and physically able to handle simple tasks. Participants need to be in the paddock one hour before the race session. These riders will wear and get to keep the white overalls, goggles, leatherette helmet and gauntlet gloves! Visit RagtimeRacers.com for a glimpse into these cars, drivers and this incredible experience.
