So What: Noah Gibney, Esteban Ruiz, Dexter Sales and special guest Eric Marienthal
The late Robert “Doc” Mulligan was a driving force behind the development of jazz education opportunities for student musicians. His early efforts planted seeds that have grown into the current comprehensive getJazzed program.
Tonight’s performers have benefitted directly from the getJazzed program.
So What is a dynamic trio featuring Noah Gibney on piano, Esteban Ruiz on bass, and Dexter Sales on drums -- two-time winner (2023, 2024) of the prestigious Chuck Loeb Memorial Scholarship presented by the Reading Musical Foundation and Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest.
Noah, a Wyomissing senior; Esteban, an Exeter senior; and Dexter, a Wilson sophomore; will be joined by iconic jazz saxophonist Eric Marienthal for this performance.
The 2-5-1 Quartet consists of Aidan Wilson, a sophomore at Muhlenberg, on guitar; Gabriel Perry, a junior at Schuylkill Valley, on piano; Dante Fioravanti, a senior at Muhlenberg, on bass; and Connor Haas, a freshman at Fleetwood, on drums.
