The Summit 2023 - Harbor Island Studios
THE SUMMIT - 2023
For its 10-Year Anniversary, The Summit is bringing the region's creative industry to Seattle for a two-day interactive, educational experience, for creative professionals. The theme - “Creative Reconnection”. This weekend will entertain, energize, and equip you with the skills - and relationships - to enrich your career.
We’ve gathered creative leaders from around the world to help: including the producer of Breaking Bad, an executive from Lucasfilm and WME’s lead story editor. Here’s the full lineup: https://seattlefilmsummit.com/speakers-and-panelists(opens in a new tab).
Short version: think of this as a mashup of SxSW, ComicCon, CES and E3 tailored to entertainment professionals.
THE WHAT. Two-Day Interactive Summit.
• Workshops on licensing, acting, broadcasting, marketing, etc…
• Demos of new technology & hardware (drones anyone?)
• Musical Performances, Cosplay, Table Reads
• Arcade, eSports, Tabletop Gaming
• Entertainment Career Fair
• … and red carpet, after-parties, awards, swag, and food trucks
THE WHO. Creative Professionals (Current & Aspiring).
• Filmmakers, screenwriters, actors, creators & influencers
• Game developers, designers, eSports broadcasters
• Musicians, producers & performers
• Authors & publishers
THE WHY. Over the years, Seattle has birthed some of our greatest creative movements. Recently, our community has been disjointed. Inspiring collaborations have devolved into solitary grinds. The creative economy has suffered. The Summit hopes to spark a movement of collaboration, and further evolve the entertainment ecosystem.
