Postponement, final scheduling and cancellation of the event 

The organizer reserves the right to postpone the event, parts of the event, and to make changes to the program. In all cases, tickets purchased for rescheduled events or parts of events remain valid, but entitle the customer to withdraw from the contract for the purchase of tickets for the affected event or parts of events in accordance with section 6. The final scheduling of an event is not considered a postponement in the sense of this regulation and therefore does not entitle the customer to withdraw from the contract if the final scheduling had not yet taken place when the ticket was purchased. 

In case of an event cancellation, the customer is not entitled to a refund of the ticket price paid, unless the organizer is responsible for the cancellation. In the event of a repeat of the event, i.e. rescheduling of an event that has already begun and then been cancalled, the repeat is considered a new event; the ticket for the original event is not valid for this, unless the organizer expressly indicates that the ticket is also valid for the repeat. In the event of continued validity, the customer can withdraw from the contract in accordance with section 6. 

Visitors enter and use the event site at their own risk. The organizer and/or his agents shall only be liable for damages arising from the performance of the event in the event of intent or gross negligence or – in this case limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage at the time of the conclusion of the contract – in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations. Material contractual obligations are those whose fulfillment is essential for the proper execution of the contract, whose violation endangers the achievement of the purpose of the contract and on whose compliance the customer regularly relies. This limitation of liability does not apply to claims for damages due to injury to life, limb or health or due to other legally mandatory liability. There is no liability for stolen or lost items.

The organizer or authorized third parties are entitled to exercise domiciliary rights at any time. The instructions of the organizer, the police and the security personnel in the run-up to, during and immediately after an event must always be followed. 

In principle, every customer or ticket holder with a validly acquired right of access is entitled to access the event venue. However, access may be refused or the customer or ticket holder may be expelled from the event venue if 

a) the customer or ticket holder refuses to submit to reasonable checks of their person and/or the objects they are carrying, which are carried out by security staff at the entrance and/or in the interior of the event venue before entering the event venue; 

b) the individualization features printed on the tickets (e.g. name print, seat data, barcode, QR code, series and/or shopping cart numbers) have been manipulated, made unrecognizable and/or damaged, or an attempt has already been made to gain access with the ticket, provided that this is not the fault of the organizer is responsible for this, and/or the ticket holder is not the same person as the customer who is stored as the customer in connection with the ticket and is noted on the ticket via individualization features, unless this is a case of permissible transfer in accordance with § 4 (4); 

c) the customer or ticket holder is visibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs; 

d) any of the following items are carried or used: glass containers, drones, pyrotechnic items, flares, weapons and similar dangerous items, animals. 

In the event of justified refusal of access, the customer or ticket holder is not entitled to compensation. 

Furthermore, it is prohibited to carry and/or use the following items: Racist, xenophobic and/or right- or left-wing extremist propaganda, political or religious items of any kind, including banners, signs, symbols and leaflets, if there is reason to believe that these will be displayed inappropriately on the event grounds. Regardless of the objects carried, it is prohibited to express or disseminate inhuman, racist, xenophobic, politically extremist, obscenely offensive, provocatively insulting and/or left- or right-wing radical slogans, as well as corresponding actions, in the entire area of the event site. 

Presence at the event venue for the purpose of media reporting on the event (television, radio, internet, print, photo) and/or the collection of sports data is only permitted with the consent of the organizer and in the areas specifically designated for these purposes. Without the consent of the organizer, it is not permitted to record or collect sounds, photos and/or images, descriptions or results or data from the event, unless this is done solely for private, non-commercial use. For the purpose of reporting on and promoting the event, the organizer and/or the responsible association and/or third parties commissioned/authorized by them (e.g. the press) may, independently of each other, create image and audio recordings that may show the ticket holder as a spectator in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 f) GDPR. These image and audio recordings may be processed, used and publicly reproduced by the organizer and the responsible association as well as by their respective authorized third parties in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 f) GDPR. 

In the event of a culpable breach of these GTC by the customer, the organizer is entitled, in addition to the other measures and sanctions possible under these GTC and without prejudice to any further claims for damages, to impose an appropriate contractual penalty of up to EUR 2,500 on the customer. The amount of the contractual penalty shall be determined in particular by the number and severity of the violations, the type and degree of fault (intent or negligence), the efforts and success of the customer with regard to compensation for damages, and the question of whether and to what extent the customer is a repeat offender. 

The processing of personal data of the customer and/or ticket holder is carried out, unless otherwise stated in these terms and conditions, for the fulfillment of a contract between the organizer and the customer or between the customer and the ticket holder in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) DGVO as well as to safeguard the legitimate interests of the organizer. In the event of a change in market conditions and/or the legal situation and/or the rulings of the highest court, the organizer is entitled, even in the case of existing obligations, to amend and/or change these terms and conditions and/or the price list with a notice period of four (4) weeks in advance, provided that this is reasonable for the customer. The customer shall be notified of the respective changes in writing or – if the customer has agreed to this form of correspondence – by email. The additions or changes shall be deemed approved if the customer does not object to them in writing or by email within a period of four (4) weeks after receipt of the changes and/or additions, provided that the organizer has expressly pointed out this assumption of approval in the notice of change.

Data protection information of the German Volleyball Association (DVV e.V.) 

Since May 25, 2018, the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: GDPR) have been in force throughout Europe. In the following, we would like to inform you about the processing of personal data carried out by the DVV e.V. in accordance with this new regulation (see Article 13 GDPR). The following data protection information is to inform you about the type and scope of the processing of so-called personal data by DVV e.V. Personal data is information that can be directly or indirectly assigned to you as a person.

For the purpose of contract processing, all data required for the execution of a contract with the DVV e.V. will be processed. We transmit your data to the Governing Body for Volleyball in Europe and organizer of the event -  the CEV (the CEV data protection agreement can be found 

) - as well as to other third parties involved in the service offered. 

When you visit the DVV e.V. website, various information is exchanged between your device and our server. This may also include personal data. The information collected in this way is used, among other things, to optimize our website or to display advertising in the browser of your end device. 

In accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, you have various rights that you can assert against us. These include, among other things, the right to object to selected data processing, in particular data processing for advertising purposes.

3. How, for what purpose and on what legal basis do we process your data? 

Your data is processed on the basis of the GDPR and additional national data protection laws to ensure that your rights as a data subject are protected. 

4. How and on what legal basis do we process your data when you visit our website? 

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website's server and stores it temporarily in a so-called log file. We have no influence on this. The following information is also collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted: 

•	the IP address of the requesting Internet-enabled device, 

•	the name and URL of the accessed file, 

•	the website from which access was made (referrer URL), 

•	the browser you are using and, if applicable, the operating system of your internet-enabled computer and the name of your access provider. 

The legal basis for the processing of the IP address is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the purposes of data collection listed below. At this point, we would like to point out that the data collected does not allow us to draw any direct conclusions about your identity, nor do we do so. 

The IP address of your device and the other data listed above are used by us for the following purposes: 

•	ensuring a comfortable use of our website, 

•	evaluation of system security and stability. Furthermore, we use so-called cookies and tracking tools for our website. 

5. How, to what extent and on what legal basis do we process your data when concluding, executing or terminating a contract? 

Data processing when concluding a contract: The subject of DVV e.V.'s activity in this context is the sale of tickets for the 2025 Beach Volleyball European Championships. In this context, we process the data necessary for the conclusion, execution or termination of a contract with you. This includes: first name, last name, billing and delivery address, email address, billing and payment data, date of birth and telephone number. 

The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR, i.e. you provide us with the data on the basis of the contractual relationship between you and us. We are also obliged to process your e-mail address due to a requirement in the German Civil Code (BGB) to send an electronic order confirmation (Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR). If we do not use your contact data for advertising purposes, we store the data collected for the performance of the contract until the expiry of the statutory or possible contractual warranty and guarantee rights. After this period has expired, we store the information about the contractual relationship required under commercial and tax law for the periods specified by law. During this period (usually ten years from the conclusion of the contract), the data will be reprocessed solely in the event of an audit by the tax authorities. 

In addition, the following data processing is necessary to execute the purchase contract: If you have selected a payment method other than prepayment or cash on delivery, we will forward the necessary payment data to a payment service provider commissioned by us. We will forward information about your delivery address to a logistics company commissioned by us for the purpose of processing the purchase contract. 

Identity, creditworthiness and transmission to credit agencies 

If necessary, we will verify your identity by obtaining information from service providers. The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. The justification for this arises from the protection of your identity and the avoidance of fraud attempts at our expense. The circumstance and the result of our request will be stored in your customer account or your guest account for the duration of the contractual relationship. 

In the event of a payment delay, we will, subject to the other legal requirements, forward the necessary data to a company tasked with the assertion of the claim. The legal basis for this is both Article 6 (1) (b) and Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The assertion of a contractual claim is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the second-mentioned provision. We also forward information about payment delays or any bad debts to credit agencies that work with us if the other legal requirements are met. The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest required under this article arises from our interest and that of third parties in reducing contractual risks for future contracts. 

The website of the DVV e.V. contains information that enables a quick electronic contact to our enterprise, as well as direct communication with us, which also includes a general address of the so-called electronic mail (e-mail address). If a data subject contacts the controller by e-mail or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the data subject are automatically stored. Such personal data transmitted voluntarily by a data subject to the data controller are stored for the purposes of processing or contacting the data subject. These personal data are not passed on to third parties. 

Advertising purposes of the DVV e.V. and third parties 

If you have concluded a contract with us, we will treat you as an existing customer. In this case, we will process your postal contact data without specific consent in order to send you information about new products and services by this means. We will process your e-mail address in order to send you information about our own similar products without specific consent. 

In addition, we reserve the right to pass on your contact data to our partners and service providers, in particular the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV), insofar as this is necessary for sending information about events or services of the CEV. The legal basis for this disclosure is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR, in particular to promote cooperation and to provide you with relevant information in the field of volleyball. You have the right to object to the use of your data for advertising purposes and to the disclosure to third parties at any time with effect for the future. You can do this by email or by post to the contact options given in this data protection declaration. 

To ensure that you only receive advertising information that is of supposed interest to you, we categorize and supplement your customer profile with additional information. Both statistical information and information about you (e.g. basic data from your customer profile) are used for this purpose. The aim is to send you advertising that is based solely on your actual or supposed needs and not to bother you with useless advertising. 

You can object to data processing for the aforementioned purposes at any time, free of charge, separately for each communication channel and with effect for the future. An e-mail or a letter sent by post to the contact details mentioned under 2. is sufficient for this. 

If you object, the contact address concerned will be blocked for further advertising data processing. We would like to point out that in exceptional cases, advertising material may still be sent temporarily after we have received your objection. This is due to the necessary lead time for advertisements and does not mean that we are not implementing your objection. Thank you for your understanding. 

6. How, for what purpose and on what legal basis do we process your data in connection with our online presence and our website optimization? 

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware. Information is stored in the cookie that results in each case in connection with the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we can immediately identify you. On the one hand, cookies are used to make our services more user-friendly. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages on our website or that you have already logged into your customer account. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site. In addition, we also use temporary cookies for the purpose of user-friendliness. These are stored on your end device for a specified period of time. If you visit our site again to use our services, it will automatically recognize that you have visited us before and what inputs and settings you have made so that you do not have to re-enter them. 

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you, as well as to display information tailored specifically to you. These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already visited our site when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time. However, completely disabling cookies may mean that you cannot use all the features of our website. The storage period for cookies depends on their purpose and is not the same for all (see below). 

If personal data is also processed by individual cookies set by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, provided that consent to the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG has been granted. Otherwise, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the page visit. 

We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the confidential handling of your (personal) data by providers of other websites, as we neither know their data protection regulations nor have any influence on compliance.

This processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR, on the basis of our legitimate interest in being able to operate a ticket shop on our website in order to promote our business purposes. 

7. How, for what purpose and on what legal basis do we process your data in connection with participation in competitions? 

When you participate in a competition or a promotion, we process the data and information you provide when you participate. This includes the data required for participation, such as your first and last name and your email address, as well as any other data and information you voluntarily provide when participating. 

Your personal data is processed for the purpose of conducting the competition or the promotion, in particular to determine and notify the winners and to carry out the competition. For the purpose of sending and delivering prizes, we may subsequently collect and process further data, e.g. your postal address. The legal basis for the processing is the performance of the obligation arising from participation in the competition (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR). 

8. When do we forward your data to recipients outside the EU? 

With the exception of the processing described in 6., we do not pass on your data to recipients based outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. The processing described in 6. involves data being transferred to the servers of the tracking technology providers we use. These servers are located in the United States. The data transfer is based on standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. 

We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to release personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. secret services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities. 

9. What rights do you have with regard to your data? 

In addition to the right to revoke your consent given to us, you have the following further rights if the respective legal requirements are met: 

•	Right of access to your personal data stored by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR; in particular, you may request information about the purposes of the processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the origin of your data, if not collected directly from you, 

•	Right to rectification of inaccurate personal data or to completion of correct data in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, 

•	Right to erasure of your personal data stored by us in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, provided that no legal or contractual retention periods or other legal obligations or rights for further storage have to be complied with, 

•	Right to restriction of processing of your data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful but you refuse to delete it; the controller no longer needs the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have objected to processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, 

Right to data portability Art. 20 GDPR, i.e. the right to receive selected data stored by us about you in a commonly used, machine-readable format, or to request its transfer to another controller 

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters for this purpose. 

Under the conditions of Art. 21 (1) GDPR, data processing may be objected to for reasons arising from the particular situation of the data subject. The above general right of objection applies to all processing purposes described in this data protection information that are processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Unlike the special right of objection to data processing for advertising purposes, we are only obliged to implement such a general objection under the GDPR if you give us reasons of overriding importance (e.g. a possible danger to life or health). In addition, you have the option of contacting the supervisory authority responsible for DVV e.V., the State Commissioner for Data Protection North Rhine-Westphalia. 

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal retention period (e.g. commercial and tax retention periods). This period is regularly 3 years (e.g. in the case of the regular limitation period for contractual claims) or 10 years (e.g. in the case of tax retention periods). After this period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted if it is no longer required for the fulfillment or initiation of the contract and/or if we no longer have a legitimate interest in further storage. 

11. How do we ensure the best possible data security? 

All data that you personally provide, including your payment data, is transmitted using the generally accepted and secure SSL (Secure Socket Layer) standard. SSL is a secure and proven standard that is also used for online banking, for example. You can recognize a secure SSL connection by the s appended to the http (https://...) in the address bar of your browser or by the lock symbol at the bottom of your browser, among other things. We also use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data stored by us against manipulation, partial or complete loss and against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
